Who operates TunedIn

Information stored locally

The app may store favourite stations, recently played stations and playback timestamps, recent searches, theme preference, auto-play preference, and other basic app settings on your device.

This information remains on the device unless you choose to create an account and use sync features. You can remove local information through the app where controls are available, by clearing app storage, or by uninstalling the app.

Optional account information

If you create an account, we may process your email address, account identifier, authentication information, favourite-station records, recently played station records and timestamps, and station metadata needed to sync your library.

Passwords are handled through the authentication service; they are not visible to the operator and should be protected using appropriate security measures.

Radio directory requests

TunedIn uses Radio Browser to search for and retrieve station information. Requests to Radio Browser may expose ordinary connection information such as your IP address, request time, and app or device request information, according to Radio Browser’s own practices.

Direct station connections

When you play a station, your device connects directly to an independent station server. The station operator may receive your IP address, connection time and duration, device or player request information, and the stream requested.

TunedIn does not control how independent station operators process this information.

Device region

The app may read your device’s general locale or region setting to suggest popular stations for that country. This is not precise location tracking, and GPS location access is not required for this feature.

Analytics

TunedIn does not currently use third-party advertising trackers. If analytics tools are introduced, this policy will be updated to identify the provider, information collected, and available choices.

Permissions

TunedIn may require audio and background-playback capabilities to provide radio listening and system media controls. It does not require microphone or audio-recording permission for normal use.

How information is used

Information is used only as needed to:

• Provide radio search, discovery, and playback.
• Maintain favourites and listening history.
• Sync your library when requested.
• Authenticate accounts.
• Troubleshoot reliability and security.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and disclosure

Information may be disclosed to service providers required to operate the app, when directed by you, during a legitimate business transfer, or when legally required.

As part of the app’s core operation, Radio Browser and independent station servers receive direct requests as described above. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Local data remains until you remove it through the app, clear device storage, or uninstall the app. Account and synced information is retained only as needed to provide the account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information involved. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

International processing

Service providers and radio stations may operate in different countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country, where privacy laws may differ.

Children

TunedIn is intended for people aged [MINIMUM AGE] and older. Any jurisdiction-specific age or parental-consent requirements will be added after legal review.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to or restrict processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent. Contact farish@elowenworks.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

Third-party links and services

TunedIn may connect to station websites, station streams, Radio Browser, app stores, and other external services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we do not control their practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be communicated through the app, website, or another appropriate channel, and the effective date above will be revised.
